    This listing is for a very nice
    Antique Bloodletting Fleam with Three Blades, Brass handle and the original Leather Case. All appearances and history indicate this device is from the Civil War era. Even more interesting it is marked with the initials JS, seemingly in block letters on one side and lightly in cursive on the other. It is in excellent condition with original surfaces. It could easily be polished up and made to look practically new, but I figure better not to remove that original patina and let the piece display its originality.
